Fortitude Valley, Queensland, Australia OKKO Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

At VSON, we help people see the world differently - literally. We don't just correct vision, we change lives. Every conversation we have with a patient gives them the chance to experience life without glasses or contact lenses.

Role Overview

As a Clinical Assessment Specialist for VSON, you'll be part of the team responsible for every first impression we make.

You will be dealing with prospective patients, qualify their suitability for treatment and book their procedure. Along every step of the way, you are building trust in a high-consideration medical decision. You will be part of a team held to measurable standards and be part of a culture where doing the right thing and driving positive patient conversion outcomes are the same thing.

Purpose of Role

To build authentic relationships with people wanting the benefits of life-changing eye surgery and then guide them through their clinical journey to have it. The primary goals of the Assessment Specialist are to deliver outstanding patient service from their first contact with yourself through to continuing aftercare whilst achieving treatment uptake objectives.

Main Duties
  • Build genuine relationships with patients
  • Tailor your approach based on each patient's history, concerns and goals
  • Understand and exceed performance targets
  • Supporting patients during and after their assessment by providing further information on treatment & pricing options.
  • Booking surgery to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Work flexibly across our three sites to be at the right place at the right time for our patients
  • Drive excellent customer service to maximise patient satisfaction, as measured through patient surveys and reviews.
  • Explain procedures clearly, answer questions and handle objections
  • Contribute to a culture of empathy, accuracy and excellence - where every patient feels heard and supported
Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in patient conversion roles. Experience in anything related to the eye care industry is an advantage, though not essential.
  • The ability to communicate authentically, empathetically and enthusiastically with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • You love learning. It's incredibly important to you to keep upping your game every year.
  • The ability to go with the flow – you do not get stressed out easily. People on our team embody flexibility, including duties, work hours, breaks, working conditions, working with team members, protocols and procedures, and updates in knowledge. Our team is flexible, and our organisation is also flexible in return to your needs.
  • The ability to be a real team player. You'll coordinate your efforts with our surgeons, Optometrists, and clinic team to ensure our patients have an excellent experience at every point of contact with us.
  • An openness to develop and progress in your career. You want to take on greater levels of responsibility and performance each year and be rewarded appropriately for it.
  • Our culture is professional yet friendly, fun, bright, and energetic with a great sense of humour. Everyone pitches into work as a team and gets things done. We enjoy people with a 'can do' attitude.

Why you should work with us

  • We work hard as a team and celebrate our wins as a team.
  • We look after each other and support each other to learn and develop.
  • We take our work seriously but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
