About the role

We are seeking a focussed and hardworking Casual Farmhand to join our team in Kurrajong Heights, NSW. This is a casual position where you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks on our alpaca and goat farmstay.

What you'll be doing

  • Undertaking general farm duties such as feeding and caring for livestock, weeding, mowing, slashing, poo vacuuming, and maintaining the property
  • Collecting and cutting firewood, fixing fences
  • Completing light maintenance and repairs around the farmstay as required, such as basic plumbing, maintaining machines, painting the decks
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar role
  • Excellent practical skills and the ability to use and maintain a range of farm machinery and equipment
  • Specific experience with mowers, chainsaws and tractors is essential for this role
  • Strong attention to detail (e.g. where did you leave the screwdriver?) and a commitment to safety (e.g. put the roll bar up on the ride on lawnmower)
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
