An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and dynamic full-time Link and Launch Coordinator to join the team at Beaudesert State High School.

As the Link and Launch Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting young people who have recently completed Year 12 but are not engaged in education, employment or training. You will support these recent graduates to navigate their options in choosing a pathway that will equip them to successfully transition into study, training or work.

We are seeking a dedicated individual with high level communication skills and industry knowledge who can provide practical assistance to students when required.

About the School

Beaudesert State High School is a vibrant regional school located 80 kilometers south of Brisbane in a town known for its agricultural heritage and friendly, relaxed community. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that builds strong literacy and numeracy skills while providing extension subjects to challenge our most academically able students. Our diverse subject range includes Legal Studies, Early Childhood Education, Ancient History, Engineering Skills, Digital Technologies, and Hospitality Practices. A leader in agricultural education since the 1980s, the school also excels in sport and offers outstanding facilities, including a modern Trade Training Centre. With a wide range of extra-curricular activities, Beaudesert State High School gives students the opportunity to explore their talents, develop new skills, and prepare for a range of career pathways.

About the Role

As the Link and Launch Coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of the school-based Link and Launch program, engaging with local agencies, support services, training providers, business and industry partners to maximise opportunities and secure pathways for Year 12 completers at risk of not transitioning to further work or study.

You will:

  • Foster partnerships with local training, higher education and employment providers.
  • Provide practical assistance to young people to access required services to remove barriers to their engagement.
  • Market the service and undertake events and initiatives to raise the profile of the role within the school and broader community.
  • Work across a number of local schools to ensure Year 12 students are aware of the transition support available upon leaving school.
  • Provide and develop guidance for young people engaged in the program, including identifying pathways, monitoring their ongoing success, and maintaining relevant records.

The successful candidate will report to the Principal/Deputy Principal by providing regular updates of outcomes whilst maintaining records and identifying issues impacting on the success of the program. Statewide support and professional learning is available through the Director, Link and Launch.
