As our Aquatics Coordinator, you'll oversee the daily operations of our aquatic centres, ensuring safe, high-quality experiences for our members and visitors. You'll lead a dynamic team, coordinate engaging aquatic programs, and uphold high safety standards while fostering strong community partnerships.

This position is especially exciting as you will play a key role in re-opening the Katherine Aquatic Centre after its 18month redevelopment closure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Leadership: Lead, supervise and support Duty Managers, Lifeguards, and Customer Service Officers
• Safe Operations: Oversee daily pool operations, including water quality, maintenance, and safety compliance
• Ensure adherence to public health, safety, and regulatory standards
• Programming: Develop and promote aquatic programs in collaboration with schools and community groups
• Reporting: Maintain accurate operational, staffing, and safety documentation
• Financial Management: Support financial reporting, rostering, and resource management

Qualifications and Experience

• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Pool Technical Operator Certificate (desired)
• Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or higher) and CPR
• Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
• Satisfactory National Police Check
• Proven experience in aquatic operations and team leadership (3 years preferred)
• Excellent communication, organisational and mentoring skills
• Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse community groups
• Strong knowledge of aquatic safety and compliance regulations
