About the role

La Vallee', a vibrant café in the heart of Essendon, is seeking an experienced Barista to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing exceptional customer service to our valued patrons.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing high-quality espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites
  • Ensuring consistent coffee quality by following standardised recipes and techniques
  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service, anticipating and addressing customer needs
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assisting with general café duties, such as restocking supplies and light food preparation
  • Collaborating with the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 year of experience as a Barista in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and the ability to achieve consistent, high-quality results
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team, with a positive and adaptable attitude
  • Familiarity with café equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders
  • Certification in food safety and handling is desirable, but not essential
