Casual Chef

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to take charge of a key section in our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead, grow, and make a difference in a workplace that values integrity, compassion, justice, and excellence.

As our Chef, you'll be a driving force in the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring meals are prepared and delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality. You'll lead a team with care and purpose, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations while fostering a respectful, inclusive, and values-driven workplace.

Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff to meet daily production and distribution goals
Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS, and Anglicare's hygiene and cleanliness standards
Monitor food preparation, handling, and storage to ensure top-quality meals
Lead by example in upholding a clean, safe, and well-maintained kitchen environment
Actively promote Anglicare's Christian values and contribute to a positive team culture
Identify opportunities to improve kitchen practices and food quality
Provide on-the-job training and performance feedback to staff

Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Minimum 4 years' experience in the food industry with supervisory responsibilities
Strong English communication skills (spoken & written)
Demonstrated leadership and time-management skills
A passion for food, people, and making a difference
Knowledge of safe work practices, HACCP, and WHS policies
