Horizons West is looking for enthusiastic Casual Bus Aide to join our Education Support Bus Services team If you thrive in a role that offers flexibility and the chance to positively impact students' lives, then look no further

About the Role: As a Bus Aide with us, you'll work alongside a Bus Driver to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of students with disabilities and special needs to and from school. This casual position operates during school terms, offering shifts Monday - Friday (AM & PM shifts available).

What You'll Do:

  • Safe Transportation: Drive routes efficiently while prioritizing student safety.
  • Routine Adherence: Follow planned routes for morning and afternoon school runs.
  • Student Support: Assist with student management and facilitate safe vehicle access for those with mobility restrictions.
  • Communication: Engage respectfully with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

What We're Looking For:

  • Flexibility: Adapt seamlessly to changing traffic and weather conditions.
  • Strong Communicator: Demonstrate effective communication skills with a diverse range of people.
  • Team Player: Collaborate well within a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Availability: Ready to work split shifts during morning (6:00 am - 9:30 am) and afternoon (2:30 pm - 5:00 pm) hours.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Working with Children's Check: Mandatory for roles involving interaction with children.
  • First Aid Certificate: Willingness to obtain if not already held.
