The Spare Parts Sales Assistant will support the spare parts division by managing customer inquiries, processing orders, preparing quotes, and assisting in the coordination of parts supply. This role is critical to ensuring a responsive, efficient, and customer-focused experience for our spare parts clients.

Work Schedule


•   25 hours per week.


•   Flexible scheduling available: based on candidate availability and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

·      Respond promptly to customer inquiries (phone, email, in-person) relating to spare parts.

·      Provide accurate advice and information on available parts, compatibility, pricing, and lead times.

·      Prepare and issue quotes for spare parts based on customer needs and internal systems.

·      Process spare parts orders in the sales system and follow through to dispatch.

·      Liaise with internal departments (e.g. stores, equipment, engineering) to verify stock and order status.

·      Maintain and update parts databases, catalogues, and customer records.

·      Follow up on outstanding quotes and proactively engage with customers.

·      Assist with stock takes and inventory checks as needed.

·      Support the Spare Parts Sales team and Sales Manager in other ad hoc tasks.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential

·      Previous experience in a sales support, customer service, or administrative role.

·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

·      High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

·      Competency with computer systems (MS Office, CRM or ERP systems).

·      Willingness to work on-site and be part of a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

·      Experience in industrial, mechanical, or marine sectors.

·      Basic understanding of mechanical components.

Desirable

·      Experience in spare parts or technical sales.

·      Knowledge of inventory or stock management systems.
