Are you a passionate and experienced Diploma or early childhood teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Sutherland Shire for 2026? We have an exciting position available at a small, family-owned centre in the Sutherland Shire that prides itself on strong community connections and partnerships.

About the Centre:

  • Capacity: 40 children, with 18 in the pre-school room supported by 3 educators.
  • Environment: Our architecturally designed, modern, and environmentally friendly centre provides a rich and diverse range of experiences that promote children's learning and development. With an open-plan and spacious layout, children can interact, play, and learn in a safe and suitable environment. All resources and equipment are accessible and rotated systematically to ensure new experiences and discoveries every day.
  • Team: The team is fun and vibrant, with a supportive director who has owned and operated the centre for over 15 years and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. The retention of staff is strong with low turnover. The role is also ideal for someone who wants to grow and have exceptional professional development opportunities with world class paid training. The centre is staffed over ratio so if there is illness or holidays, someone is always there to cover
  • Excellent Planning Time: We recognize the importance of sufficient planning time and ensure 2.5 (increasing to 3 hours) planning time off the floor per week per educator
  • Well-being Focus: Close on Educator Day to engage in team well-being activities. Weekly check ins with management to ensure no burn out and supportive environment

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay: Approximately $40-$45 per hour for Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs)
  • Worker's Retention Payment: Staff will receive an additional 15% payment through the WRP.
  • Flexibility: Choose from 10-hour shifts over 4 days, 8-hour shifts with a rostered day off (RDO), or a 9-day fortnight.

Qualifications:

  • Open to Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs), Working Towards ECT's and Diploma-qualified educators.
