About the role
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter or experienced third year apprentice to join our team at J Wellstead Enterprise PTY LTD' based around Ellenbrook, Western Australia. This full-time position will involve a range of stick roofing tasks to support the delivery of high-quality residential construction projects.
What you'll be doing
- Undertake a variety of carpentry and roofing tasks, including framing, roofing, and the installation of cladding.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed to the required standard
- Collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
What we're looking for:
- Formal carpentry qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry, or demonstrated experience as a Carpenter
- Competent in stick roofing
- A strong work ethic
- Strong practical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard of finish
- Physically fit enough to work in this role
- A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- A valid white card is a must-have, to be on the building site
- A current WA driving license and car is highly preferred but a reliable transport to and from work is a must.
