RM Group is seeking a skilled E&I Technician to support the maintenance and operations teams by optimising electrical and production automation processes. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, providing technical expertise to the plant.

This is a permanent role paying $140k base + super + allowances, offering relocation assistance up to $10k.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and maintain automation systems across the site.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to enhance electrical safety, process efficiency, and production output.
  • Identify and implement electrical/mechanical solutions with internal and external partners.
  • Mentor and support electrical team members to build their technical capability.
  • Deliver all work to defined standards, ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Seek out and apply new technologies to improve systems and performance.
  • Lead by example — embodying our values, code of conduct, and field leadership principles.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Safety-first mindset - committed to maintaining a safe working environment for all.
  • NSW Electrical License with strong PLC, DCS, and SCADA experience.
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Instrumentation and Control
  • Hands-on expertise with Allen Bradley/PILZ PLCs, fault-finding, AC drives, and associated systems.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (highly regarded).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a continuous improvement focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial automation environments preferred.
