Universal Cranes is a privately owned family business that operates mobile crane hire branches throughout Queensland and New South Wales. We have a fleet of 200 cranes ranging from 3T to 1200T, including minicranes, Frannas, all-terrains and crawler cranes. Universal Cranes began as a family crane hire business in 1993 and have grown to become a national crane hire company. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family business service culture while providing our clients with a national high capacity fleet.

We're looking for experienced Intermediate Riggers to join our Project & Heavy Lift Team, based out of Brisbane. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to broaden their experience working across multiple sites with a diverse fleet of crawler cranes along the east coast of Australia.

REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience rigging a range of mobile and crawler cranes.

  • Relevant tickets / Licence eg Intermediate Rigging Ticket (RI), Licence to perform dogging (DG), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Forklift Licence, Working at Heights Ticket

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

  • Availability for irregular hours (early starts, late finishes, night shift, weekend work) as expected in a crane industry

  • Ability to work away for short duration (typically less than 1 week) as required to assemble and disassemble crawler cranes

  • Demonstrated experience as a positive team contributor

  • Professionalism in on site presentation and communication with Customers

  • Maturity and ability to deal with multi-site, multi-cultural teams

PREFERRED:

  • Prior experience in a crane hire business

  • Prior experience rigging crawler cranes

Successful candidates will also be subject to the ability to pass pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Testing.
