Job Description
About Us
We are a small, well-established suburban law firm practising primarily in conveyancing, estate planning, and probate, while also handling commercial law and litigation matters from time to time
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality legal services in a friendly, professional, and supportive environment.
About The Role
We are seeking a law graduate, final-year law student (nearing completion of their degree), paralegal or junior solicitor to join our close-knit team in an entry-level, full-time position.
You will work directly alongside our principal solicitor and senior associate, gaining hands-on experience in both the substantive and administrative aspects of legal practice.
No prior experience is required – we will provide full training.
You will learn from experienced practitioners in a boutique firm setting where you'll be involved in all facets of legal work, not just a small corner of it.
This is an opportunity for you to build a solid foundation for your career and emerge as a well-rounded, capable and confident future solicitor.
You won't just observe the law in theory — you'll live and breathe the day-to-day realities of legal practice and gain a deep understanding of how a law firm operates. The skills and insights you will attain will set you well ahead of your peers in terms of practical ability and broad-based experience that few junior lawyers can offer.
Key Requirements
- law degree (or near completion)
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong attention to detail
- proficiency with computers and technology
- positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Role Details
This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm). No part-time or flexible work positions are available.
You will be required to work from our office at Collaroy. There is no opportunity for remote or work-from-home options.
Applicants must be willing to commit to a minimum 12-month contract. No short-term placements are available.
The role is partly legal and partly administrative. In addition to substantive legal work, you will be required to carry out daily administrative tasks that are vital to understanding the mechanics of legal practice.
