Casual Cleaner

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Casual Residential Cleaners to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality general cleaning services within private homes, including households of people with disability. You will play an important part in creating safe, hygienic, and comfortable living environments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general residential cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms.
• Carry out additional tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, changing linens, and rubbish removal as required.
• Follow individual client preferences, routines, and instructions while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment, with attention to infection control practices where required.
• Work within the homes of people with disability, supporting their comfort and independence through respectful and professional service delivery.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and in accordance with workplace procedures.
• Communicate any issues, hazards, or concerns promptly to supervisors.

Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning (preferred but not essential).
• Understanding of safe cleaning practices and infection control.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to work respectfully with people with disability.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Requirements

• Driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred).
• Current Police Check.
• COVID-19 vaccination (in line with government and organisational requirements).
• Physical capacity to carry out cleaning duties (bending, lifting, standing for extended periods).

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
