About the Role

The primary role of a TAFE SA Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. Lecturers may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.

TAFE SA is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and have substantial industry currency and experience within a horticulture or related industry.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry and/or teaching experience in Horticulture.
  • Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture or related field qualifications.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 or TAE40122 or a Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
  • High level of current technical expertise in Horticulture or a relevant discipline area.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant must provide evidence of a valid DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing employment. Applicants who do not currently hold a WWCC will be required to apply through the Department of Human Services (DHS).

  • Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
  • Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
  • May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
  • Incumbent will be required to participate in the Department's performance Development Program.
  • A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
  • Eligible to work in Australia
