Job Description

How you'll make a difference 

  • Design, model and draft structural elements for buildings and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and methodologies, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and design standards.
  • Work closely with a collaborative and diverse team of engineers, sharing knowledge and ideas to solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, clients, contractors and consultants to coordinate design inputs, manage expectations and contribute to successful project delivery across multiple disciplines.
  • Get involved in a broad portfolio of projects across various markets, including commercial, health, transport, education and industrial sectors offering exposure to different design challenges, client needs and technical environments.
Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive

  • Qualifications in engineering or drafting trades are beneficial, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a structural engineering team. Experience in modelling structural steel is highly regarded.

  • Proficiency in Revit is essential, while familiarity with additional platforms such as AutoCAD, Dynamo, or Rhino will be considered an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills are important, along with a genuine interest in BIM workflows and emerging technologies in construction.

  • A proactive and delivery-focused mindset is key, with dedication to program outcomes and the ability to contribute effectively to collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

  • As this role supports defence projects, Australian citizenship is required.
