The Venue

We are on the lookout for experienced hospitality professionals to join our family and help our business grow. The Lorne hotel is situated a few hours outside of Melbourne along the beautiful and ever popular Great Ocean Road on the Surf Coast. This multi-faceted hotel, situated just a few hundred meters from the beach, draws the tourist crowds and locals alike for its food and location. Merivale aims to bring everything that we love about hospitality to the wonderful and diverse state of Victoria.

The Role

Work with an experienced management team to deliver a diverse and authentic experience for our guests in Lorne. Our focus is ensuring the guest experience is second to none, we love our locals and regulars, so it is important for us to create a community within our team and venue. We are looking for someone who is committed to embedding themselves in the team and venue, connecting authentically with the community.

As a Manager at Merivale, your focus will be on:

  • Leading a large team of fun-loving individuals to ensure that they are consistently delivering an exceptional experience to our guests
  • Maintaining a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, ensuring our venue is always immaculate
  • Ensuring that our focus is always on the guest and their experience
  • Managing strong financial controls as well as initiating and executing growth strategies to increase top-line sales

Ideally, we would love to meet someone with 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, has a great can-do attitude, and places guest experience first.
