Indian Curry

Kohli's Group Pty Ltd T/A Kohli's Indian Restaurant is looking for a full time Chef for our restaurant located in Nowra NSW 2541 on a full-time basis with a salary between $75, $80,000.00 per annum plus superannuation.

You will be required to do the following duties:

• Plan and Organize the preparation of food as per the Menu on a day to day basis.
• Set up workstations with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prioritise menus, recipes, and task sheets.
• Prepare and use specialised kitchen equipment for use.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Organise the supplies of the restaurant including groceries, Diary and vegetables.
• Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Preparation and cooking of all curry and tandoori and today specials menu items as per proper recipes.
• Preparing and cooking tailor made menus for special orders like birthday, engagement etc parties.
• Ensures high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout kitchen area.
• Work cooperatively with other members of the kitchen team
• Stock rotation, food safety & minimising wastage
• Will need Food Safety Supervisor certificate.

To be considered for this role you should:

• Require Cert IV in Cookery or above.
• Good knowledge of Indian Curry & Tandoori cuisine and species is required.
• Available on weekends and be able to work split shifts.
• Have a passion for food and enjoy working in a busy fast paced kitchen environment.
• Have at least 2 years of work experience as a Chef
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and have attention to detail.
• Have Australian work rights.
