The Opportunity
KBR are the Principal Design partner on the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA). The Alliance comprises of Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Metro Trains Melbourne, Vline, KBR, and John Holland.
NWPA was established in 2017 and has delivered on approximately $3B of transport infrastructure projects for the state of Victoria and local communities. Based on our success, NWPA continues to attract further programs of work across all stages of the engineering lifecycle.
NWPA are fortunate to hold a significant pipeline of committed and future projects. These include flagship, transformative projects such as Sunshine Superhub Project. Your role will have considerable impact and influence across design, delivery, and handover.
Whilst this position will initially join NWPA, it is a permanent role with KBR which opens a door to working on other iconic infrastructure projects nationally and across various market sectors.
As a Senior Sustainability Adviser you will provide technical advice across all elements of sustainability and ESG, improve and embed ESG within the project deliverables, identify opportunities for innovation in sustainability, drive change, educate and inspire. You will be involved in a major construction and infrastructure project guiding and leading people across all levels on the ESG journey. Your expertise on how climate is to be considered in major projects will be vital.
Other responsibilities include in this role:
- Develop and deliver sustainability strategy and reporting for a major programme of work encompassing design, delivery and construction
- Collaborate with a range of technical disciplines to develop positive sustainability outcomes for project delivery
- Leading this project into market leading ESG results
- Undertake stakeholder consultation including clients, independent organisations and authorities
- Actively maintain and enhance technical reputation and relationships in relevant industry sector
Who are you?
You will have relevant experience across engineering, consulting, sustainability, environmental science or similar. You will be passionate in your desire to make an impact in the field of sustainability yet practical when working with major organisations striving to transform their business and operations.
Your skills will allow you to develop the strategy, influence relevant parties and deliver the changes. You will be ESG and climate change literate understanding the impacts of sustainability related legislation on organisations and project delivery.
