ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Application Engineer with strong expertise in Atlassian Jira. The role focuses on administering, optimising, and supporting Jira environments to ensure they align with business needs and deliver peak performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Configure and manage Jira instances, including setting up projects, workflows, custom fields, permissions, and user roles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting Jira's functionality, usability, or performance.
  • Integrate Jira with other enterprise applications and tools to enable seamless data flow across systems.
  • Maintain secure configurations and ensure compliance with relevant security and governance requirements.
  • Design and implement process automations within Jira to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and deliver solutions to maintain scalability and stability.

  • Proven experience in Jira administration, configuration, and support.
  • Strong understanding of workflow design and automation within Jira.
  • Ability to integrate Jira with third-party systems and applications.
  • Solid grasp of system security, governance, and compliance principles.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
