Nursing Administration - Ryde Hospital
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023 and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of the Stroke Coordinator is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and coordinate high quality service delivery and nursing care to patients/clients.
The Stroke Coordinator employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision-making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians. The Stroke Coordinator will participate in the delivery of education, support and administration of the service, and assist in the monitoring and reporting of data and outcomes.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHRPA) with relevant post-graduate qualifications in neurovascular/cardiovascular and at least 3 years' recent experience working in neurovascular (stroke management), cardiovascular or critical care nursing, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate.
- Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical nursing practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes.
- Demonstrated communication skills including technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
