ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on 9-day fortnight at our Worsley Boddington Bauxite Mine, is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

As there is no Camp onsite this is a drive in drive out role. Relocation assistance is available for those interested in moving closer to site.

As the Senior Engineer Mechanical Reliability role is to drive improvements in asset availability and manage asset lifecycle of Fixed Plant at Boddington Bauxite Mine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build effective equipment maintenance tactics and associated documentation to align with Asset Care Plan.
• Assist in development of asset reliability performance metrics using delay accounting and breakdowns.
• Assess and action condition-based information for critical equipment.
• Engage with maintenance and production teams to complete defect elimination process and maintenance improvement initiatives.
• Complete RCAs or 5 WHYs based on weekly downtime of operational areas.
• Maintain disciplined approach to Asset Management and change control process.
• Review and analyse work management metrics to ensure compliance to the Work Management processes.
• Identify and develop all equipment requiring inspections and repairs based on legislative and statutory requirements in master data.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Ideally, 10 years as Mechanical Engineer in mining or heavy industry and 5 years as Reliability Engineer experience.
• Experience in bulk materials handling, including conveyors, crushers & sizers.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques
• Ability to provide diversity of thought within the existing team stakeholder Engagement
• Eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia (preferred)
• Understanding of Defect Elimination process.

Qualifications

• Qualifications include a Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
