We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Health Care Workers to join our Post-Acute Care Team as casuals. This vital role supports patients following discharge from hospital or Emergency Department presentations, helping them safely recuperate in the comfort of their own home. You will assist clients with everyday tasks such as showering, shopping, and domestic duties, enabling a smoother recovery and enhancing their independence and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound knowledge of hygiene, cleaning, and safe food handling practices, along with excellent time management, organisational abilities, and basic computer literacy. You will be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and committed to delivering person-centred care. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to contribute effectively within a remote team are essential. In this role, you will provide personal care and hygiene support, including showering, grooming, toileting, and assistance with mobility aids. You'll also perform domestic tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning, laundry, and shopping assistance. Building positive relationships with clients, monitoring their wellbeing, and identifying any risks in the home environment are key aspects of this position. Adherence to infection control protocols, confidentiality requirements, and professional dress standards is expected at all times.

Casuals are employed on an 'as needs' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

Our preferred candidate will have:

• Certificate III in individual Support CHC33015 (or equivalent)

• Twelve months experience as a Health Care Worker Grade 1

• Current Victorian Driver's License

• First Aid Certificate

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

• Skills and experience working with people of all ages, cultures, beliefs and circumstances.

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
