About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Building Practitioner / Builder to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is critical to the successful delivery of residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all building regulations and maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all building works comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and relevant building regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and submit building plans, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure safe, timely, and quality project delivery.
  • Conduct inspections at key stages of construction and address any defects or compliance issues.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide professional advice to clients on building requirements and compliance matters.
  • Uphold workplace health and safety (WHS) standards across all worksites.
  • Maintain registration as a Building Practitioner with the relevant State Building Commission.
  • Stay updated with building codes, legislative changes, and industry best practices.

Skills & Attributes

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards, and building regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • Proven experience supervising construction works with a focus on compliance and quality.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills to manage budgets and timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • High levels of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous professional development.
