Guest Service Agent – Verandah House Country Estate

Verandah House Country Estate located at Tamborine Mountain only 30 min drive from the Gold Coast, embodies excellence in the art of hospitality. The Role

We are looking for passionate and service-oriented individuals to join our Front Office team as Guest Service Agents. In this guest-facing role, you will be the first and last point of contact, delivering a warm welcome on arrival and a heartfelt farewell at departure. Your attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care will ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner. Assist guests or visitors as they arrive and depart, anticipating needs before being asked.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out processes, including billing and payment handling with accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain and update guest reservations, preferences, and special requests through our property management system.
  • Prioritize unique guest needs such as early arrivals, VIP arrangements, long stays, and customised room setups.
  • Handle guest communications via phone, email, and in-person enquiries, always upholding the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
  • Handle Event bookings and guest liaisons, payments.
  • Ensure all front office duties, records, and reports are completed efficiently and to standard.

Talent Profile

  • A warm personality with a genuine passion for guest service.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, resorts, or boutique accommodations is essential ( please do not apply without a min 1 year experience as a hotel receptionist / guest service agent)
  • Familiarity with property management systems (RMS) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Articulate and highly organised
  • An eye for attention to detail
  • Canva skills, google calendar, excellent computer skills
  • Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
  • Must speak fluent English
