McLean Farms is in search for a Poultry Maintenance Person (Big Dutchman Specialist) to join our team.

McLean Packing Staff Pty Ltd is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in the Darling Downs, specialising in livestock and food production. The business is involved with a broad range of other agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill this role in a full-time capacity, based in Pittsworth, QLD.

Salary Range: $73, $82,000.00

About the Role

As the Poultry Maintenance Person (Big Dutchman Specialist), you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising Big Dutchman systems to ensure the seamless operation of our poultry facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge poultry management technology and contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on Big Dutchman systems, in particular, electrical engineering and electrical control systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues relating to electrical engineering and electrical control systems and equipment promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Optimise system operations, identifying and implementing performance improvements.
  • Provide training and technical support to staff on the use and maintenance of Big Dutchman equipment.
  • Examining and testing electrical engineering equipment, instruments, and control systems to troubleshoot and diagnose faults
  • Maintain compliance with safety, biosecurity, and operational standards.
  • Monitor and document system performance, maintenance schedules, and repairs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Big Dutchman systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of automation, mechanical systems, and electrical components.
  • Ability to identify and implement system optimisations and improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • A commitment to adhering to biosecurity and safety protocols.
