Your new Opportunity:

Opteon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our security function. We're after someone with a combination of hands-on technical skills, and security governance/compliance skills.

Ideally you come from a technical background but have experience with running an ISMS and know what good governance looks like.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security policies and standards aligned to ISO27001 or other frameworks
  • Implement tools and procedures to achieve security and compliance objectives
  • Managing documentation, audits, corrective actions, and ISMS effectiveness
  • Monitoring security events and alerts across systems and networks
  • Leading incident response activities and ensuring response plans are tested and well performing
  • Identifying, assessing, and prioritising security risks and treatment plans
  • Ensure the security awareness training program is effective and consistently delivered
  • Designing, configuring, and maintaining security tools (EDR, SIEM, content filtering, vulnerability scanners)

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in IT, cybersecurity, or related field (mandatory)
  • Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM) (highly regarded)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting level 1 security clearance
  • Strong technical ability in security domains (eg: vulnerability management, cloud security, etc)
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (eg: ISO 27001, ISM, SOC 2)
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and regions
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
