About the role

DLI Training is seeking a qualified and experienced Traffic Control Trainer and Assessor to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to individuals seeking traffic control certification in the Auburn, NSW 2144 area. This is a contract position, offering the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

  1. Delivering engaging and informative classroom-based training on traffic control procedures and regulations
  2. Conducting practical assessments to evaluate trainees' ability to implement traffic control measures correctly and safely
  3. Providing detailed feedback to trainees and maintaining thorough training records
  4. Staying up-to-date with changes in traffic control legislation and best practices
  5. Collaborating with the training team to continuously improve course content and delivery

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience as a qualified traffic controller, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
  2. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) and a proven track record of delivering high-quality training
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate trainees
  4. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
  5. A flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate the needs of a diverse range of trainees
