Purchasing Officer | WA Government

Location: Leederville – 10 mins from Perth CBD

Rate: Up to $64 per hour + super

Contract: Until March 2026 | Full-time, 38 hrs per week

A WA Government agency is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for a long-term contract in Leederville.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement services, including reviewing purchase orders and sourcing quotes
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Monitor contract performance and recommend improvements
  • Provide procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate data in SAP MM / SRM or other e-procurement systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a procurement or purchasing role
  • Knowledge of contract management and supplier evaluation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
