POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a full-time Engineering Technologist to join our engineering and manufacturing team. You'll interpret job orders, plan cutting layouts, and work closely with other departments to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Production Manager, the Nester performs daily duties on the computer preparing jobs digitally working in Prime Cut Software.
  • Organizing parts for cutting to optimize the use of full sheets of steel to cut down on waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards.
  • Assist in materials planning, estimating, and workflow optimization.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and reporting.
  • Use software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, PrimeCut, and Bystronic for nesting and part development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Diploma of Engineering – Technical or related.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment. (advantageous)
