We have an exciting opportunity for a
Site Engineer
to join the team. The Site Engineer's principal responsibility is to assist the project team by acting as the liaison between the construction, design and administration elements. The Site Engineer assists with the management of Quality and provides technical construction support for all project stakeholders.
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities include (
but not limited to
):
- Assisting in the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of project quality standards and procedures
- Identify issues with the project, drive the development and implementation of solutions
- Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists to ensure compliance
- Review quality of subcontract works on site and communicate them with the project team
- Assist with ensuring design is completed to standard and on time to maintain programme
- Act as facilitator to resolve design and co-ordination issues that arise between client, consultant and subcontract elements
- Manage, monitor and control the flow of technical information between the design disciplines and internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor and control the design team to ensure that works proceed in line with the target programme and the design documentation programme
- Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief
- Reference tender package content for scope of work, product usage and design logic are carried out - where applicable
Skills & experience:
- Degree qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum 3+ years post-graduate experience in an engineering role within a tier 1-3 building environment
- Experience working on similar high-rise residential projects in excess of $50M in value
- Overall understanding of Quality & Design for structures, services, finishes and facade components
- Strong administration and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and passion for delivering work to a high standard
- A proactive, professional with strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused approach and ability to work with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds
