Teacher of English

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking an exceptional Teacher of English, based at our South Yarra campus. This 0.75 FTE fixed term opportunity is available for Term 4, 2025.

This role will see you

  • Inspire and foster a passion and appreciation of learning in our students.
  • Work as a pedagogical educator, committed to driving and sharing best practice with other teachers
  • Facilitate the exploration of student interests, fostering the pursuit of academic and personal growth.
  • Support the individual wellbeing of our students through our pastoral care programs

You will

  • Have experience teaching English and a passion for the education of students from Years 7 to 12.
  • Work in partnership to deliver exceptional educational experiences we offer our students.
  • Collaborate with others to educate and nurture the whole person, fostering each student's intellectual, spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional growth.

VIT registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential. Graduates are encouraged to apply.

This role is based at our South Yarra campus where our Senior School welcome around 850 boys in Years 9 – 12 each day and our Wadhurst campus, comprises 400 boys in Years 7 and 8 where they make the transition from primary to secondary education in an environment designed with their needs in mind.
