The Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager and based in Springvale, VIC, we're seeking a Design Engineer who is both analytical and creative, with an enthusiasm for 4WDs and a flair for design. You'll join a skilled engineering team, developing products from concept through to launch—helping shape the next generation of market-leading 4WD componentry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop steering, suspension, and under-vehicle products in SolidWorks.
  • Take projects from concept through prototyping, testing, and validation to market release.
  • Work closely with customers and suppliers to refine and improve designs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (including VSB-14).
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports for internal stakeholders.

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Design Engineering.
  • SolidWorks certification (minimum CSWA).
  • Strong MS Excel skills (certified or equivalent).
  • Experience in automotive or product design engineering.
  • Knowledge of vehicle certification processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and collaboration skills.
  • Full working rights

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with AIAG documentation.
  • Knowledge of FEA software (Altair platform).
  • Project development and lifecycle management experience.
  • Membership with EA, SAE/SAE-A, or NEP certification.
