The Role
We are seeking an experienced Taxation Accountant to join our growing team. You will work closely with clients across the retail, professional services, and construction industries, providing expert tax and business advisory support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive tax and accounting advisory services to clients in the retail, professional services, and construction industries
- Analyse, report, and deliver expert advice on taxation matters for both individuals and businesses
- Prepare and review tax returns and related reports for individuals and organisations
- Assist clients with tax compliance reviews, regulatory audits, and represent them in disputes with taxation authorities
- Advise on business structures, planning, and operational strategies with a focus on tax efficiency and financial outcomes
- Support clients in business transactions including mergers, acquisitions, capital financing, and business sales or purchases by assessing tax implications
- Prepare financial and management reports to support decision-making
About You
- Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, BGL 360, and QuickBooks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deliver high-quality outcomes
- A proactive and client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
