About the role:

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and providing clinical leadership to both the clinical and care teams and crossover with management. The role will ensure compliance with legislative and statutory requirements to enable the home to deliver a high standard of care and services.

The incumbent will have the opportunity to assess, develop and support the education and training of both current and new staff to Lifeview, including targeted clinical training. The CNC will take the lead and maintain high standards of Infection Prevention and Control, ensuring all staff meet necessary IPC responsibilities. Additionally, the role will support the Residential Manager, Clinical Care Manager and Quality & Governance team with risk reporting and remedial actions, internal auditing, data collection & mandatory reporting (SIRS), clinical documentation, internal/external complaints and preparation for re-registration

About you:

• A Registered Nurse currently registered in Australia (APHRA) without any notation

• A confident team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for leading clinical outcomes 

• IPC Lead qualification

• Postgraduate qualifications in gerontology, Dementia Care, Palliative Care or Wound Management or relevant discipline would be highly regarded but is not mandatory

• Demonstrated understanding of ANACC

• Sound clinical decision-making skills

• Excellent understanding of relevant legislation and experience in meeting Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Standards

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a balanced approach 

• Highly organised with proven ability to appropriately prioritise tasks in a busy environment

• Excellent computer skills and ability to use computer software in the delivery of care services 

• Passion for delivering quality Aged Care outcomes
