NW Mining & Civil are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our client's team based primarily at their Mt Isa workshop, with some mine site field work as required.

Daily duties will include the maintenance & repair work to a range of diesel engine equipment, including forklifts, reach stackers, loaders, cranes, generators, EWPs and vehicles from LVs up to prime movers. Experience in a similar role is essential.

While 90% of the work will be workshop based, the other 10% will take place on the mine site, so applicants must be willing & able to pass a pre employment medical and complete the required inductions, including having a current drivers licence to be able to drive on site.

Pay rate is $60/hr flat rate. All shifts are 12hr day shifts.

You can choose the roster that best suits you: 2/1, 2/2 or 3/2. Accommodation and a meal allowance provided while on shift.

Local Mt Isa applicants are preferred, but flights are available from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns.

  • Relevant Mechanic trade qualification
  • Abovementioned experience
  • Manual car licence, HR an advantage
  • High risk EWP and/or Forklift would be highly regarded
  • Must be able to pass a pre employment medical and D&A testing
