Due to rapid expansion, an exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Consultant to join our team. This is a position suited to someone with a track record of successfully designing, implementing and managing modern network infrastructure solutions. This role involves optimising ICT infrastructure to meet both current and future needs, implementing improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for solution design and/or implementation including: AWS, MS365, CrowdStrike, Tailscale, Cloudflare, VMware/Proxmox, server/storage, WAN/LAN/WLAN

  • Management and maintenance of a wide range of network services including on-prem, datacentre, cloud, LAN, WAN, WLAN and security

  • Configuring and maintaining firewalls including Fortinet, UniFi, Palo Alto, and pfSense

  • Configuring Linux servers, maintaining OS and applications

  • Implementing security measures and good practices for Linux server administration and operations

  • Able to surmise expected performance / characteristics of systems

  • Documenting various aspects of Linux systems and administrations

  • Implementing backup and disaster recovery services

  • Monitor and troubleshoot networks to identify and resolve incidents

  • Troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvements

  • A solid track record in leading ICT projects from planning to completion in a technical capacity, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. Project work deploying, upgrading and replacing client infrastructure

About you

  • 4 years minimum of relevant experience working as a network engineer/IT infrastructure. Previous healthcare specific IT experience will be advantageous.

  • A strong understanding of project delivery and IT infrastructure (hardware, networks, cloud services) is a MUST.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Firewall products and services - Palo Alto, Fortinet. Fortinet FCP Network Security or FCSS Network Security or equivalent NSE certification is desirable.

  • Knowledge across Cloud providers - Microsoft Azure & AWS

  • Solid understanding & knowledge with core network technologies:  IPSEC, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP

  • Exposure to Linux based systems (RHEL preferred)

  • Strong understanding on core Linux concepts (file system, packaging, interaction from software and hardware)

  • Up to date with recent Linux-based developments

  • Security minded with a risk management approach in implementing risk mitigation strategies and solutions

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to respond professionally to customer needs.

  • Strong team player as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently
