About the role
Universal Smiles Dental is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Mernda, VIC. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice. This is a casual position, offering flexible working hours to suit your needs.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, suction, and other items as needed
- Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment before and after procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Greeting and welcoming patients, and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Performing basic administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and scheduling appointments
- Position: Casual (with potential to become permanent)
Hours: 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Days: Monday to Friday
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using dental equipment and software
- A passion for dentistry and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting are preferred
