William Barrett and Sons is a long-standing, fourth generation family-owned funeral home. We are seeking an Administration/Reception team member to join our caring and professional team. This is a substantive role requiring at least one year's experience in a similar position, with the potential for career development in the funeral profession.

As the first point of contact for callers and visitors, the successful candidate must demonstrate a high degree of empathy, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting visitors and establishing their needs
• Answering telephone calls and emails
• Booking appointments, rooms and vehicles
• Providing information, or directing queries appropriately
• Receiving and resolving inquiries and complaints from clients and the public with sensitivity and professionalism
• Administration of funeral paperwork and data entry, medical and legal applications, filing electronically and physically
• Distributing information internally and to third parties
• Receiving and distributing correspondence, messages, and deliveries
• General housekeeping duties
• Receiving items from clients and processing according to established systems

We are looking for someone who is:

• Empathetic and respectful in all interactions
• Professional in presentation and communication
• Reliable, organised, and accurate with administrative tasks
• Willing to learn and develop within the role

• At least one year's experience in a similar role in a funeral home
