Role Description

This is a 12 month maternity leave role for an Allergen Analyst located on-site in Werribee, VIC. The Allergen Analyst will conduct day-to-day tasks such as performing allergen testing in food samples, analyzing and reporting results, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and documenting all procedures and findings. The role will also involve ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, as well as working collaboratively with other laboratory staff to maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with allergen testing and analysis
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in food safety
• Proficiency in using and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
• Experience in a food testing laboratory is a plus
