The Great Southern Hotel Sydney (GSH-Sydney) is a busy heritage-listed hotel located in the heart of Sydney's vibrant entertainment district, offering 176 rooms, and maintaining an occupancy rate of 99%. The hotel is within walking distance of the CBD, Central Station, Chinatown, Darling Harbour and Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centres. The Great Southern Hotel is currently seeking a well-presented individual to join our Front Office team in the Casual position of Guest Service Agent.

About the role:

As our Guest Service Agent, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring smooth check-in and check-out of guests in a timely manner
  • Delivering prompt and efficient service when attending to a variety of guest requests
  • Effectively communicating with all departments of the hotel to ensure customer satisfaction and operational requirements are achieved
  • Answering calls in a professional manner
  • Informing guests of all facilities and services in the hotel

About you:

The successful candidate must have:

  • A commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Excellent grooming and presentation skills
  • A warm and friendly personality
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Confidence to problem solve without supervision
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience in a Reservations and Reception
  • Must be available to work AM or PM shifts on a flexible rotating roster (inclusive of Public Holidays)

Pay: $33.38 per hour
