Automotive Electrician - Full-Time Position

About the Role:

As an Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, 4WDs, and caravans. Your duties will include:

· Installing and troubleshooting electrical wiring systems.

· Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic vehicle systems, including lighting, alternators, and starter motors.

· Installing accessories such as dual battery systems, immobilisers, alarms, brake controllers, and UHF radios.

· Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical issues.

· Performing maintenance and repairs on electrical components in line with industry standards.

· Collaborating with team members to ensure top-tier service delivery.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

· A Trade Qualification (Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology).

· Minimum 1 year post-trade experience.

· Previous experience in automotive electrical repairs and installations.

· A strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic procedures.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.

· The ability to deliver high-quality work within specified timeframes and under minimal supervision.

· A willingness to work off-site occasionally to support installations and service.

· A manual C Class QLD Driver's License.

Desirable Skills:

· Experience working on a variety of vehicles, including 4WDs and caravans.

· Knowledge of CAN bus systems, ECU diagnostics. (advantageous but not essential)

· Refrigerant Handling License (advantageous but not essential).

· Strong project/task management skills.

Rates will depend on experience level and will be discussed at interview. Range $77,000 - $90,000 per year
