With operations across Gregory Hills, Penrith, and Liverpool, the firm prides itself on delivering high-quality, client-focused services across multiple financial and property divisions.

As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an experienced
Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
to lead an accounting team, manage key client relationships, deliver hands-on services, and contribute to the continued success and evolution of the business.

  • Up to $180k package
  • Fully office-based role, onsite parking available
  • CA/CPA + 5+ years public practice experience essential

What you will be doing?

  • Manage BAS/IAS, company tax returns, and compliance for SME clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns across various entity types.
  • Lead client engagements end-to-end, managing scope, fees, deliverables, and lodgement deadlines.
  • Provide tax planning, advisory, and structural strategy advice.
  • Oversee system transition projects, including training and support for clients and staff.
  • Mentor, coach and review junior/intermediate accountants, ensuring accuracy, consistency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance workflow, client service, and firm growth.
  • Maintain proactive client communication and manage expectations, timelines, and compliance.

What do you bring?

  • 5+ years' public practice accounting experience (7+ preferred).
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Strong technical skills: Xero, BAS, company tax, financial statements, GST, and compliance.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small accounting team; skilled at delegating, reviewing, and coaching.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable under pressure.
  • Client-focused with ability to provide strategic, value-add advice.
  • Strong work ethic, collaborative, and committed to professional growth.
  • SMSF experience, including Class accounting software and liaising with independent auditors.
  • Experience in diversified financial services or multi-division firms.
  • Comfortable with periodic travel between offices.
