We're a busy local cafe located in Southport and are on the lookout for our next Assistant Cafe Manager to support our Cafe Manager in leading our friendly fast paced team

We're after someone who is experienced and can bring a positive vibe, a can-do attitude, and the ability to deliver exceptional and efficient service whilst maintaining optimal cafe standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Assistant Cafe Manager, you'll thrive in a fast paced environment where multitasking and delivering exceptional customer service are key. You'll be responsible for serving customers efficiently, managing transactions through our POS system, and maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace in line with Fresh+ standards. You'll also assist in preparing a variety of food and beverages.

Your role will include a mix of hands-on service and operational support, including:

  • Overseeing two cafe sites

  • Supporting the Cafe Manager with daily operations such as:

  • Banking and cash handling

  • Processing invoices
  • Placing orders and managing inventory
  • Conducting stocktake
  • Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues
  • Leading by example and motivating the team

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • 3+ years of hospitality experience
  • Strong knowledge of general café operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Catering experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a supervisory position is also desirable
  • Strong barista skills are absolutely essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and reliability
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Unrestricted working rights
