​Momoto Sushi at the high-profile Burnside Village is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sushi Chef / Sushi Maker to join our busy kitchen team. If you have a passion for high-quality Japanese cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

​The Role & Responsibilities (Back of House):

​You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of our high-quality sushi and other kitchen items, including:

• ​Preparing and cooking sushi rice to a consistent standard.
• ​Expertly slicing and preparing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• ​Meticulously rolling and preparing various types of sushi (rolls, nigiri, sashimi).
• ​Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge preferred).
• ​Assisting with kitchen organization, stock rotation, and cleaning duties.
• ​Ensuring speed and quality meet customer demand during peak hours.

​About You (Essential Requirements):

• ​Proven Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of hands-on experience as a Sushi Maker or in a similar Japanese culinary role is essential.
• ​Skills: Demonstrated ability to prepare and present sushi professionally and consistently.
• ​Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• ​Work Rights: Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
