About the Role:
We are seeking a Personal Care Workers (previously known asNursing Assistants) to join our team on a casual and part time basis.
You will be based at our Dural House Home, located at 705 Old Northern Road, Dural NSW 2158.
Our Personal Care Workers provide high level personal care to meet resident's individual care needs that will enhance their quality of life. This includes:
- Assistance with daily activities that support an individual's comfort, hygiene, sense of belonging and overall well-being—especially when they are unable to perform tasks or communication independently due to age, disability, or health conditions.
- Ensuring that our resident care and treatments, as appropriate to role, are documented to meet regulatory requirements.
- Communicating effectively with Residents and relatives, all nursing and non-nursing staff and management, from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Being flexible and passionate about working in aged care
We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for our staff. We aim to equip our team with the training and resources they need to deliver high-quality care to our residents. Skills and Experience:
- Aged Care experience in Australia
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent. While higher qualifications are valued, they are not required for this particular role by the employer.
- Demonstrates excellence in customer service and a strong understanding of personal care procedures, infection control, and safety protocols
- The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and effective communication skills, while contributing positively to a collaborative multidisciplinary care environment and upholding a strong commitment to person-centred care.
- MUST have appropriate Police Check and NDIS Worker's Check - If you do not have this, your application will not be considered
