Tell me about this role:

Seeking multiple security cleared (NV1 or higher) Maritime Engineers to join our team on a permanent basis. These roles will be involved in Naval sustainment and support projects.

  • Maritime Systems Engineers
  • Platform & Auxiliary Systems Engineers

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Undertake requirements engineering to ensure system needs are accurately captured, traceable, and validated
  • Lead or contribute to preliminary and detailed design phases of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), ensuring alignment with operational needs
  • Provision of specialist system, technical and equipment knowledge of Maritime Systems
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders and build meaningful and lasting professional relationships
  • Implement the system safety program, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safety case development
  • Plan and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as part of engineering change management, ensuring design integrity and compliance with requirements

What sort of skills do I need?

  • Experience within a Defence maritime environment
  • Degree qualification (Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail
  • Hold a NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
