What's the job?

Our Victorian branch is currently on the hunt for an experienced Stainless Steel Installer to play a specialised role in our Installation Team. 

What you'll be doing:

  • On-site installation of our stainless steel componentry
  • Perform general fabrication using stainless steel, steel, steel tubing including:
    • Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
    • Setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten metal
    • Operating welding equipment to join metal
    • Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints to burred surfaces using hand tools and portable tools
  • Examining architectural or technical detail stair drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions.
  • Clean and smooth welds by filing, welding, chiselling and grinding.
  • Ensure S&A quality, health and safety processes are followed at all times.

What skills and experience you need:

  • Qualification in fabrication
  • Experience in the steel industry (essential)
  • Construction Induction card (essential)
  • Australian driver's licence (essential)
