DCS is a service provider and regulator, focusing on delivering first-class customer service, digital transformation and regulatory reform to create better outcomes for the people of NSW. State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is a part of DCS who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at SIRA, specifically in the Regulatory Intelligence & Analytics directorate, who is responsible for reporting and answering complex data enquiries to support other SIRA directorates.

Primary purpose of the role:
Lead the delivery of information strategy and architecture, including the development and design of blueprints and or artefacts that enable the architecture to be built and operated, to ensure business and enterprise objectives are achieved.

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide strategic and operational advice on data, information strategy and architecture to enable the realisation of business objectivesDevelop and assess the impact of Information Architecture activities across the organisation, incorporating the management of structured and unstructured data standards, roadmaps, patterns and methodologies to enable business and technology solutionsDevelop, implement and evaluate frameworks, standards, tools and best practices to enhance Enterprise Data/Information Governance and Data Management across the organisationProvide technical oversight for information architecture and contribute to the development of business-driven solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture and data governance standards to ensure fit for purpose solutionsDefine the ownership, design and governance of fit-for-purpose logical and physical data domain models to ensure delivery of appropriate solutions that are aligned to business objectivesProvide leadership, guidance and reporting to internal and external stakeholders on data and information architecture to ensure compliance with governance and quality requirementsDevelop reference architecture, integration patterns, collateral and other reference assets in conjunction with relevant stakeholders and specialists to ensure a sustainable data environmentUndertake research, horizon scanning and analysis to identify future ICT trends and emerging technologies to assess applicability and inform executive decision making

About you:

Have exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work across multiple tasks and a desire to build strong partnerships.Experience using and managing, creating, and performing design and architecture duties in a complex enterprise.Experience in building and maintaining complex data solutions using appropriate cloud data technologies such as AWS Redshift, Azure Data Tools or Snowflake.Experience with user access management strategies and data security implementation on enterprise products.Working knowledge of challenges and issues involved with data design, management, privacy, and security.Experience executing upon a data architecture strategy within an organisation.An understanding of data and privacy legislation, information security policies and standards.Tertiary qualifications and/or professional/industry accreditation with relevant industry experience in data architectureEffective communicator who can explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
