About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for a medical administrator who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences and thrives in a collaborative environment. While a scientific background is not required, a strong commitment to supporting laboratory operations is essential.

As a key point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring their journey is smooth, informed, and supported. You will also provide critical administrative support to our scientific team, contributing to the efficient running of laboratory functions, including cryomanagement and the andrology desk.

This is a dynamic, patient-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Act as a first point of contact for patient queries, delivering empathetic and professional communication across phone and in-person interactions.
  • Support patients through sensitive conversations, ensuring clarity, compassion, and alignment with organizational values.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including scientific, nursing, genetics, and administrative staff.
  • Manage andrology desk operations, including appointment scheduling, sample receipt, and maintaining a professional reception area.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures and cryomanagement tasks, ensuring compliance with protocols and accurate record-keeping.
  • Perform a range of administrative duties such as data entry, scanning, filing, and generating reports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cryostorage and patient communications using internal systems.
